Meet The Staff

After a long career as a Catering Director in Chicago, Paula joined the family business in 2010. She started out helping the company with Sales & Marketing and in 2011 transitioned into the role of President of Performance Plus. In addition to her responsibilities at the company, Paula is very active in the Crossroads, Lakeshore & Michigan City Chambers of Commerce. She is also very active in the Entrepreneur & Family Business Council (EFBC) as well as the Building Service Contractors Association (BSCAI). Paula is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington. Paula has been married to her husband, Jay for over 15 years and they have three children.

Michelle joined Performance Plus in September 2023. She has a long accounting career in the construction industry for Northwest Indiana. She is hands on working with every department either problem solving or efficiently managing the business operation. She is a proud Purdue alumnus and enjoys improving her golf game. She achieved her first “Hole in One” in 2018.

Jason joined Performance Plus in 2017 as Account Manager and has proven to be a valuable team member. In January 2019, Jason was promoted to Operations Manager. Jason was promoted to Director of Operations in 2024. Jason and his lovely wife Ashley live with their son in Crown Point.

Andrew started with Performance Plus in 2014 as a Payroll Specialist. Throughout the years, he has advanced through the company and become a vital part of our team. Andrew was promoted to Director of IT in 2024. He spends his free time working with computers and technology, playing board games with friends and spending time with his family. He has a passion for learning new things, craft beers and international cuisine. Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and sons.

Amanda joined Performance Plus in 2018 comes to us with over 4 years of HR and 10 years of management and customer service experience and a passion for helping others. After receiving her SHRM Certification in 2023, Amanda was promoted to Director of HR in 2024. Amanda has two children who participate in competitive roller skating. Amanda also enjoys playing adult co-ed softball, which she has been involved with for over 15 years.

Joe Horst, Sales Manager

Joe, originally from Nebraska, played football for the University of Nebraska before relocating to Indiana for work. He spent over 20 years managing Janitorial & Food Service operations in the Long-Term Care sector. In 2024, Joe joined Performance Plus, a leading janitorial services company, as Regional Manager and was recently promoted to Sales Manager. In his free time, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.

After graduating from St. Mary College, Carly joined Performance Plus in 2019 as a file clerk. Carly proved to be a quick learner and was always eager to help in other areas. She continuously sought advancement and moved through the ranks to Payroll Clerk. Carly quickly mastered our software program and became an invaluable member of the team. In 2025 Carly was promoted to Client Success Manager.

Mike became part of the Performance Plus team in 2021 with over 30 years of management experience with 20 in the janitorial field. When it comes to work, Mike has no problem getting his hands dirty. He has been married to his wife Kelly for over 30 years. They have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Mike enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working around the house and yard and watching NASCAR.

Alena Perez, Payroll/HR Associate

Alena joined Performance Plus as our AP Clerk and has quickly advanced to the position of Payroll/HR Associate. She is very detail-oriented and has great empathy for our employees. She loves her family, camping, music, and fishing. Alena lives in Schererville and enjoys a fulfilling life with her loving husband and son, finding a balance between her professional and personal life.

Donald Griffin, PM Operations Manager, Northwest Indiana

Donald is originally from Gary, IN. He has been working in the Janitorial Industry for over 40 years. He previously worked for KBS & Kimco as an Operations Manager, overseeing large accounts throughout the state of Indiana. Don recently joined Performance Plus as our NW Indiana Operations Manager. In his free time, Don loves bowling, throwing darts and spending time with his lovely wife and 4 grandkids.

Mary Farris, Customer Service Representative/AR Clerk

Mary joined Performance Plus in 2018. She graduated from Butler University in 2001 with an Education degree. She taught high school Latin and English for 15 years. Mary serves an integral role as our Customer Service Representative as well as a member of our Administrative team working on AP & Collections. You’ll find her answering the main phone line most days as well as handling most of the supply orders and ticket billing. She enjoys Middle Eastern dance, Renaissance fairs, and feline companionship.

Michelle Penn, Operations Manager - Northwest Indiana

Michelle began working at Performance Plus as a night cleaner and was quickly promoted to a Night Superversior. After a few years she had the opportunity to transfer to the Special Project Crew where she excelled at managing Post-Construction Cleaning and other Special Projects. In 2024 she was promoted to Operations Manager in our Northwest Indiana office. She grew up on Gary, IN and still calls Gary her home. In her free time she likes to bowl and use to be on multiple leagues. She also enjoys spending time with her 5 granddaughters.

Jeremy Patti, Operations Manager

Jeremy started in the Janitorial industry with his father at the age of 17. They had their own business for 8 years cleaning offices and doctor's offices.

At that time, they both worked in the healthcare industry for housekeeping. Jeremy spent 18 years in the healthcare industry, 10 of them in management before joining Performance Plus in October of 2023. In November of 2025 Jeremy was promoted to Special Project Operations Manager to assist in the growth of the Performance Plus Special Project Division. Jeremy has been married for 15 years to his wife and they have a son and daughter. Jeremy loves bowling in the Winter on 3 different leagues and fishing in the Summer.

Jason Wall, Operations Manager, Indianapolis

Jason was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. Jason proudly served our country in the US Air Force, where he had the opportunity to travel to the United Kingdom, Italy and the Pacific Northwest. He started his civilian career in environmental waste services and shortly afterward decided to get his BS in Liberal Studies from the University of Indianapolis. He also gained a Masters degree in Management while working his full-time day job. Jason spent the next phase of his career in Janitorial Service at education and healthcare facilities in Indianapolis. In his free time, Jason enjoys golf, and studying turn-of-the century war relics and current events.

Bridgette Del Real, Accounts Payable Clerk

Bridgette is the newest member of our Admin Team. She prioritizes spending time with family and friends outside of work. She loves data entry, numbers, and accounting. She also enjoys learning new things. Singing is one of her favorite things to do, whether it be in the car on her way to and from work or when driving in general. Although she is new to the accounting side of a business, she is excited to be able to use the knowledge she gained while attending Ivy Tech Community College and graduating with technical certificates in Accounting and Business Administration.
